Motivated by the concept “poetic felt space,” Living Lens  is conceived as a garden/habitat with an organic cycle of time. Projected images, sounds, and bodies of viewers, are all presences in the garden. In this exhibition, we have integrated an advanced visual technology, “Saccade-based Display”, which uses the scanning feature of human eye movements (called saccades) to perceive image arrays via an LED display system. Visuals used in Living Lens are derived from close-up images of Australian plant, animal and landscape textures, while the interior installation within the shipping container is inspired by elements of traditional Japanese garden design.
