Saccade-based Display: Meta-literature
Meta-literature
Sensible Literature -
Move, Touch and Smell,
Sasebo City Museum Shimanose Art Center, Nagasaki,
July 23-September 23, 2011.
The ten "wands" of the saccade-based display system are set into a symmetrical arrangement of white cardboard boxes and emit visual images, alphabet letters, Japanese hiragana and kanji characters. Exploring the contact point between literature and visual/media art, this piece is inspired by the poem, Saikai Sanka (Hymn to the Western Sea), with original lyrics by Nagasaki native, Ko Fujiura.
